Habitat: Grasslands, flooded plains, marshes, grain fields and watersides.
Feeding Habit: It strips seed heads from grasses, stamps its feet to attract insects, and often joins grazing mammals for flushed insects.
Nesting: Perform a wonderful courtship dance, bowing, jumping, and tossing objects into the air while calling and circling. Lays 2 or 3 eggs in a bulky sedge nest in a marsh.
Lifespan: 30 Years in captivity.
