World’s Nature Conservation Day 2025
World’s Nature Conservation Day is a day set aside every 28th July to increase awareness on the need to protect, preserve and manage nature and natural resources such as; water, soil, fauna, flora, and also to recognize that a healthy environment is vital to humans and other living organisms. The efforts of every single person can give a positive impact in protecting the ecosystem and its entity. This is achievable through afforestation/ reforestation, pollution control, use of clean and green renewable energies/ technologies, proper waste management and control, protection of wildlife and their habitats, etc.
KAZOWMA joined in this great course to celebrate the day with this year’s theme:”Forest and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet” where 30,000 seedlings were commissioned against next year’s afforestation program, planting of trees was carried out in the premises of the Zoo as well as Falgore Game Reserve and also donation of seedlings to various stakeholders of the agency.
Let’s join hands in conserving nature and natural resources to ensure its continuity for present and future generation’s use.
